Apprenticeship to become an IT Specialist in System Integration

The apprenticeship 
IT specialists in system integration plan,install and configure IT systems –such as the Windows and Linux operating systems at internal customers. These also include networked systems and all hardware and software components. Depending on your specialist area, you will work in the area of technical planning, system installation, servicing or network and data centre operations. Your duties will also include containing and rectifying faults using state-of-the-art expert and diagnostic systems and assisting users in their activities. You will receive in-depth training in the relevant programs.

During your apprenticeship you will deal with networks, the data centre, client/server, fixed-line and radio networks, system integration, servicing and system development. There will also be interesting projects such as the testing and launching of client–server models where the processing power is provided centrally by large and powerful computers rather than individual workstations.

What we expect from you 

  • The minimum requirement is a good level of secondary education (Realschulabschluss, ideally BK I or BK II)
  • Good grades in maths, German and English; an interest in IT relationships and an excellent understanding of mathematical and technical concepts
  • You should enjoy working with technology and dealing with computers and software programming
  • Initial experience with hardware and software and an interest in the latest IT issues
  • A willingness to undertake a varied apprenticeship at a dynamic company
  • You should be a team player and enjoy interacting with people
  • Commitment and reliability are a must
